Tournament Director Brittany Jeanis adds Vice President of Golf to title; Sports industry veteran Brad Lott hired as Chief Revenue Officer for the Rocket Mortgage Classic
DETROIT (December 4, 2024) – The Rocket Mortgage Classic today announced two significant leadership appointments. Brittany Jeanis is elevating her role as Vice President of Golf and Tournament Director, while the tournament has also added sports industry veteran Brad Lott as Chief Revenue Officer.
Jeanis has served as the Rocket Mortgage Classic’s Tournament Director since November 2021, following seven years in various roles with the PGA TOUR, including Corporate Partnerships and Tournament Business Affairs. In her elevated role, she will continue to oversee business operations of the event while also focusing on strategic partnerships, player relations and overarching strategy as the Rocket Mortgage Classic continues to grow.
“We have built a terrific team here at the Rocket Mortgage Classic over the last six years, and I’m looking forward to leading a talented and enthusiastic group that promotes and elevates the fantastic work of our host organization and title sponsor, Rocket Mortgage,” Jeanis said. “I look forward to working with Rocket to bring new ways to offer our fans excitement while making an incredible impact in Detroit. The addition of Brad to our team will help bring this aspiration to life as he uses his extensive experience to drive value for our tournament and our partners.”
Lott comes to the Rocket Mortgage Classic from Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics – where he served as the Senior Vice President of Global Partnership Retention. He previously worked for nine years in sales for the Detroit Pistons and 11 years for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He joins an experienced sales team that includes Stacey Latona, Tom McInerney and Andy Walters.
“I am excited to be part of the Rocket Mortgage Classic team and look forward to continuing the legacy that has been built since the tournament’s debut in 2019,” added Lott. “As I know from my previous time here, Detroit is both a fantastic sports town and simply a vibrant, growing city. Rocket Mortgage has already played a significant role Detroit’s revitalization, and I look forward to helping shine a spotlight on the city and make a positive impact throughout Detroit.”
The Rocket Mortgage Classic, the vision of Rocket Companies founder Dan Gilbert, has been a cornerstone of Detroit since its debut in 2019, becoming the first-ever PGA TOUR event held within the city limits. Beyond showcasing world-class golf, the tournament has made a profound impact on the community, contributing more than $8.4 million to local charitable organizations. This includes $4.3 million toward its signature “Changing the Course” initiative, which focuses on bridging Detroit's digital divide by providing residents with access to high-speed internet, digital devices and training. These efforts have transformed Detroit from the least connected large city in the nation into a leader in digital inclusion, with a nationally recognized model for closing the connectivity gap.
“The Rocket Mortgage Classic is a powerful platform for showcasing the city of Detroit and driving meaningful impact throughout our community,” said Bill Emerson, President of Rocket Companies. “We’re further strengthening the foundation of this tournament with Brittany’s expanded role and Brad joining the team. We look forward to working with them as we continue to grow the positive impact the Rocket Mortgage Classic has on Detroit and its neighborhoods.”
Detroit’s annual PGA TOUR event will be held for the seventh consecutive year at Detroit Golf Club from June 24-29, 2025.
